SolAgra Organic is a Sustainable Agriculture Solutions Company. It was born from the need for organic food production and resource management in an environment with such limited supply of water and growing area. We are located in the North County of San Diego, specifically Valley Center, where the minimal water supplies are of great concern.
For example, our computerized water management system (see Irrigation Management) has enabled a variety of local avocado growers to reduce their water consumption by as much as 50% or more allowing them to remain competitive in a very high-priced water market.
In addition, our research and development department continues to develop new and proprietary products such as fertigation systems, computerized greenhouse controllers, and a variety of electronic sensors and monitors, in addition to focusing on environmental and organic compliance.
SolAgra Organic is owned and managed by a team of military veterans. Additionally, our team works closely with the Wounded Warriors Battalion to assist them with employment and farm-tech training. They are given the opportunity to use our organic greenhouses to initiate their own farm business with hands-on training. Even more in-depth training (either before or after) is done through the VSAT program at Archi's Acres, also a veteran owned and operated organization. Solagra Organic is directly associated with and is involved with the management of a non-profit, 501-C3 organization which assists with the training of the veterans.
